Three generations, one sweet tradition.
From a Delhi halwai lane to a Mill Woods kitchen, made the same way, with the same love.
It started with Diwali ladoos for the neighbours.
In 2011, Asha Malhotra's besan ladoos became the most-requested treat at every Diwali party in Mill Woods. By the next year, the orders had outgrown her kitchen.
Asha learned mithai-making beside her father, a halwai in Old Delhi. Today she and her son Kabir run Saffron Lane with a team of twelve, still roasting besan by hand, still reducing milk for hours, and still sending every regular home with an extra piece.
- Recipes passed down three generations
